Young, Kack Earn Weekly AAC Players of the Week

ORLANDO, Fla. – After back-to-back shutouts for the UCF women's soccer team, defenders Mathilde Kack and Ariel Young have been named Defender of the Week and Rookie of the Week respectively. Kristen Scott was also named to the honor roll as well, for her two-goal one-assist performance.
 
The two defenders were integral parts of the Knights' defense as they picked up a 2-0 victory on the road against East Carolina and a 5-0 win over Temple on Sunday. Ariel Young netted the first goal if the match against ECU, her second of the year, on a header from a Madison Murnin cross.
 
Named to the weekly honor roll, Kristen Scott netted two goals against Temple and assisted Ellie Moreno's first goal in the match.
 
UP NEXT
The Knights travel to Cincinnati to close out the regular season and determine seeding for the American Athletic Conference Championship. The Knights' are currently sixth in the conference with 10 points, and clinched a spot in the post-season tournament last time out.
