Orlando, Fla. – The UCF women's soccer team returns to action on Thursday, October 21 in Greenville, N.C. against East Carolina (7-7-2, 2-2-2 AAC). The Black and Gold (6-5-1, 1-3-1) are coming off a big 3-0 win over Tulsa that saw three different Knights find the back of the net.
The victory over Tulsa was a historic one for head coach Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak, as she earned her 150th career win. She sits at 150-92-37 all-time and 97-42-18 at UCF.
UCF is looking for their second consecutive win and second American Athletic Conference win of the season. ECU is riding a five-game unbeaten streak, most recently coming off a 2-2 draw on the road at Tulsa.
Orlando native, Kristen Scott leads the Knights in in goals with seven on the year, most recently netting a goal last time out against Tulsa. Scott also leads UCF with 16 points, followed by Ellie Moreno with 11 points thanks to a team leading five assists.
Knights Notes
- UCF is 12-3-2 all time against the Pirates, including a 5-1-0 record in Greenville. The last time the two clubs met, they battled to a 1-1 draw at the UCF Soccer Complex
- Knights' goalkeeper Caroline DeLisle currently has 146 career saves, ranking No. 8 in all-time career saves at UCF
- Caroline DeLisle's 63 saves in 2021 are currently second in the American Athletic Conference
- After attaining 150 career wins last time out, Head Coach Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak currently sits just three wins away from 100 wins at the helm of the Knights.
