ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF men's tennis team will travel up the road to Gainesville, Florida this weekend to compete in the ITA Southeast Regional beginning Thursday, October 21, through Monday, October 25 at the University of Florida's Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.
UCF will see the likes of 14 teams, including Florida, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Georgia Tech, Kennesaw State, Mercer, Miami, North Florida, South Florida and Stetson.
The Knights will be represented well as Lleyton Cronje, Trey Hilderbrand, Bogdan Pavel, JC Roddick, Bryan Triana, Cooper White, Kento Yamada, and Quinn Snyder will all be in action this weekend.
Cronje made his debut as a Knight at ITA All-Americans where he went 1-1 in singles as he earned a win in the qualifying consolation draw.
Hilderbrand grabbed three-straight singles wins to advance from the qualifying draw to the main draw at ITA All-Americans. He also picked up a win over a 125-ranked opponent. Hilderbrand teamed up with Pavel as the No. 1 seed in the doubles main draw but fell in the first round and are looking to bounce back.
Pavel went 2-1 in singles at ITA All-Americans and defeated a 64th-ranked opponent.
Yamada also saw action at ITA All-Americans in the qualifying rounds but was unable to advance.
Roddick, Snyder, Triana, and White last played at the Gator Fall Invite over a month ago.
