ORLANDO – Hot off a first-place overall finish in their last tournament, the UCF men's golf team is back on the road for the Carolina Collegiate Invitational presented by BMW, taking place from Oct. 11-12 in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Hosted by the University of South Carolina Upstate & Wofford College, the invitational will be held at the Carolina Country Club, boasting a par-72, 6,929-yard course. The event begins with two rounds of 18-holes on Monday before wrapping up on Tuesday with a final round of 18 holes. The individual winner of the event is granted an exemption into a Korn Ferry Tour event.
UCF head coach Bryce Wallor will roll with a five-man lineup consisting of Johnny Travale, Clement Charmasson, Teddy Tetak, Luis Carrera and Egor Eroshenko. Markus Braadlie will play as an individual.
The tournament will be streamed live through Gamekast, with cameras on all 18 tee boxes and all 18 greens. Coverage will be on Monday afternoon and the entire round on Tuesday, Fans will have to register for a free account to access the stream. The Knights will tee off at 8:30 a.m. Monday morning in a shotgun start. Full qualifying information for the 2021 edition of the Carolina Collegiate Invitational can be found below.
QUALIFYING INFORMATION
- Johnny Travale – will play in the first spot in the lineup at the Carolina Collegiate Invitational as a result of winning the Hartford Hawks Invitational. The top 7 finish earned him an exemption into this event.
- Clement Charmasson – will play in the second spot in the lineup at the Carolina Collegiate Invitational as a result of finishing in second place at the Hartford Hawks Invitational. The top 7 finish earned him an exemption into this event.
- Teddy Tetak – will play in the third spot in the lineup at the Carolina Collegiate Invitational as a result of finishing in third place at the Hartford Hawks Invitational. The top 7 finish earned him an exemption into this event.
- Luis Carrera – will play in the fourth spot in the lineup at the Carolina Collegiate Invitational as a result of finishing tied for first in the six-round qualifier with a score of -5.
- Egor Eroshenko – will play in the fifth spot in the lineup at the Carolina Collegiate Invitational as a coaches' pick. Egor finished tied for third in the six-round qualifier with a score of +3.
