ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF men's tennis team is set to compete at the ITA All-American Championships from October 2-10 at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla.
Playing in the singles portion of the tournament will be No. 70 Lletyon Cronje, No. 88 Kento Yamada, Trey Hilderbrand and Bogdan Pavel. All four Knights will compete in the qualifying draw in an attempt to play in the main draw.
In doubles play, the No. 3 duo of Hilderbrand and Pavel will begin their run in the tournament in the main draw, which is the top 32 pairings. Last season, the duo earned All-American honors and recorded a 10-2 dual match record with six wins over ranked opponents in eight tries and took a trip to the NCAA Doubles Sweet 16.
Yamada and Cronje will pair up to play in the qualifying doubles round in hopes of making the main draw.
Cronje will make his debut as a Knight. Yamada, Hilderbrand, and Pavel all saw action at the Gator Invite earlier in the season.
