HARRIS, Mich. – The Knights wrapped up play in the two rounds of the Island Resort Collegiate on Sunday in Harris, Michigan, finishing the day sitting comfortably in third place with a 582(-6) total.
In UCF's return to action, the Knights were led by senior Clement Charmasson, who finished the day tied for second place with a 66-73=139(-5) score.
The first round is where Charmasson shined the brightest as the Toulouse, France native led all golfers with a 6-under 66 score to start things off.
Charmasson was trailed closely by first-year Knight Luis Carrera. An offseason addition coming over from Sam Houston State, Carrera was fantastic in day one in the Black and Gold, knocking down a combined four birdies and an eagle over two rounds of play to sit tied for 20th overall with a 148(+4) score.
Rounding things out, returning Knights Egor Eroshenko and Johnny Travale shot 150(+6) and 154(+10) to sit at T-31 and 48 overall, respectively, while another first-year Knight in Jonah Leach carded a 7-over 151 to sit tied for 37th place.
The Knights will tee off in the final round of the Island Resort Collegiate on hole one Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. UCF is paired with Michigan and Michigan State. Live stats can be found on golfstat.com here.
