UCF at SMU

ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF women's soccer team (5-4-0, 0-2-0 AAC) looks to pick up their first American Athletic Conference victory of the 2021 campaign as they travel to Dallas to take on SMU (7-1-0, 1-0-0 AAC). The Knights and Mustangs are set to kick off on Thursday, September 30 at 8 p.m. ET from the Washburne Soccer and Track Stadium from the SMU campus.
After an off weekend, UCF is a week out from their most recent match – a 2-1 loss at the UCF Soccer Complex, at the hands of Memphis at home.
The Black and Gold currently stands at 15-7-1 all-time against the Mustangs. The Knights missed their contest with SMU during the COVID-19 shortened 2020-21 spring season. Most recently, UCF earned a 2-1 win over the Mustangs on the road in 2019.
Knights Notes
- Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak is one win away from 150 in her career as a head coach, currently sitting at 149-92-36 in her career, and 96-42-17 as the head coach of the Knights
- Kristen Scott leads the Knights in goals scored (six) and points (13) through the first half of the season.
- Goalkeeper Caroline DeLisle has three shutouts on the year and has maintained an 82.1% save rate on 124 shots on the year.
- UCF currently carries a 28th ranked RPI in the nation, with SMU coming in at RPI No. 13 ahead of the match. The Knights also carry wins over RPI No. 5 Ole Miss and RPI No. 23 Penn State.
