Men's Golf Set for 2021-22 Season

Schedule Roster

ORLANDO – The UCF men's golf season is right around the corner and after a strong showing in 2020-21, head coach Bryce Wallor and his squad will look to build upon their success this year as they play another tough schedule of opponents in the fall and spring.

Wallor, who enters year 13 in 2021-22 and has guided the Knights to an NCAA Regional title and two conference championships since 2009, has a new assistant coach on staff to kick off the season as Emerson Newsome joined the squad in June.

Newsome grew up in Atlanta, Georgia where he had a junior career consisting of over 15 victories across multiple junior tour circuits. Prior to his time on the professional landscape, Newsome was a standout at the University of Cincinnati, where he earned a Division I scholarship to play for the Bearcats' men's golf team from 2012-2016.

SCHEDULE
The Knights announced their full 2021-22 schedule on Tuesday, featuring nine regular season tournaments and the American Athletic Conference Championship.

The Knights will play in five states throughout the 2021-22 season (not including postseason) as UCF will travel to Michigan, Connecticut, South Carolina (twice) and Georgia, in addition to playing five tournaments in Florida. The schedule also features two events that the Knights will participate in for the first time in The Carolina Collegiate Invitational and the Coral Creek Club Invitational.

UCF's schedule features two events that give exemptions into professional golf tournaments. The Carolina Collegiate Invitational in Spartanburg, South Carolina, which UCF will play in from October 11-13, provides the individual winner of the event an exemption into a Korn Ferry Tour event. Meanwhile, the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational, which the Knights will take part in from April 2-3 in Augusta, Georgia, provides the individual winner an exemption into a PGA Tour Event.

The Knights' schedule is highlighted by their home event, the Isleworth Collegiate. UCF is the defending champion at the Isleworth Collegiate, which is nationally recognized as one of the most prestigious tournaments in all of college golf.

Following the conclusion of the regular season, UCF will play in the American Conference Championship in Brooksville, Fla. from April 22-24.

All tournaments will have live stats available via Golfstat with links found on the UCF men's golf schedule page leading up to the event.
