UCF to Host No. 2 North Carolina Sunday

ORLANDO, Fla. – After picking up the midweek win on the road, the UCF women's soccer team returns home to host No. 2 North Carolina for a 1 p.m. kickoff at the UCF Soccer Complex on Sunday, Sept. 12. The Black and Gold are coming off of back-to-back victories over No. 7 Penn State and Ole Miss as they head into their second top 25 matchup of the year.
 
The all-time record between UCF and North Carolina stands a 1-18-4, with the most recent meeting coming in 2018 when the Knights dropped a 1-0 decision. The Tar Heels travel to Orlando coming off of a 7-1 victory over Florida in Gainesville, and are undefeated through seven games on the year.
 
Knights Notes

  • Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak currently sits at 148-91-36 in her career as a head coach, and 95-41-17 at the head coach of the Knights
  • Kristen Scott leads the Knights in goals scored (four) and points (points) through the early portion of the season.
  • Ellie Moreno and Ariel Young each netted their first goals of the 2021 campaign on Thursday against Ole Miss on the road.
  • Goalkeeper Caroline DeLisle has three shutouts on the year after the 2-0 win over Ole Miss, and 15 in her career
