ORLANDO – The UCF cross country team returns to action with a trip to Gainesville for the Mountain Dew Invitational on Saturday morning.
The women's 4K race is slated for an 8:30 a.m. start at the Mark Bostick Golf Course.
In addition to the Knights and host Gators, teams participating in the Mountain Dew Invitational are Bethune-Cookman, Daytona State College, Embry-Riddle, Flagler, Florida A&M, Florida State College at Jacksonville, Jacksonville, Lake Sumter State College, Lynn, Pasco-Hernando State College, Saint Leo, Seminole State College, South Florida State College, Tampa and Warner.
Fans are welcome to attend and encouraged to wear masks. Live results will be provided by Half-Mile Timing.
The Knights are back in action after a strong opener at FAU on Sept. 1. UCF had five members of its squad finish in the top 15 and all 12 competitors finished in the top 50 at the South County Park. Just over 30 seconds separated UCF's top five finishers and the quintet posted an average time of 18:57.68.
Following the Mountain Dew Invitational, the Knights have a bye before returning to action on their home course to host the UCF Invite on Oct. 1.
