ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF women's soccer team battled Florida Atlantic to a 2-0 lead before the game was called at halftime due to inclement weather in the area.
Dayana Martin got the scoring going early for the Black and Gold, netting the first goal of the game off of a cross from inside the 18-yard box from Anna Henderson in the 13th minute. Martin earned herself a brace minutes later, picking up a through ball from Trescott Shamlou to slot her second goal past the FAU goalkeeper.
With a 2-0 lead, the game was called at the 30-minute mark due to continued inclement weather in the area.
UP NEXT
The Knights will take on Miami in Coral Gables on Saturday, August 14 at 1 p.m. before opening the regular season against Texas on Thursday, August 19 at the UCF Soccer Complex.
