Women’s Golf Receiving Votes in WGCA Preseason Coaches Poll

ORLANDO – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced the results of the 2021-22 Preseason WGCA Coaches Poll on Friday and the UCF Women's Golf team is receiving votes.

In 2020-21, For the third time in five seasons, the Knights earned an NCAA Regional bid after finishing fourth in the American Athletic Conference Championship. The Knights' top finish of the spring came in the final tournament of the season, winning the Brickyard Invitational. UCF women's golf earned a pair of conference honors as Tunrada Piddon and Ana Laura Collado were named All-American Athletic Conference, each for the first time in their careers. UCF entered the NCAA Louisville Regional ranked No. 34, where they shot a +17 across the three round tournament, finishing tied for 8th and missing advancing to the National Championship by two strokes.
 
Stanford University received 17 first-place votes to open the season at No. 1, while Duke University received two first-place votes to finish at No. 2. Wake Forest University comes in at No. 3, while Louisiana State University and 2021 NCAA runner-up Oklahoma State University tie for the No. 4 spot.
 
The next WGCA Coaches Poll will be released on Friday, September 17.
