PRAGUE, Czech Republic – UCF men's golf senior Teddy Tetak wrapped up the first round of play in the D+D Real Czech Masters in Prague, Czech Republic on Thursday, carding a 1-over 73 to sit tied for 73rd place in the European Tour event.
The European Tour cut rule for regular tour events sees the top 65 professionals advance to the weekend. Any player that is lower than 65th place makes the cut and plays the final two days of the tournament over the weekend.
Tetak posted a solid front nine, knocking down three birdies and bogeying one hole en route to a 34(-2) finish. Tetak's worst hole of the day came on the par three hole 16, where he needed six strokes, brining his back nine total to 39(+3) and his overall on the day to 73(+1).
The Czech Masters made its return this season after last year's tournament was cancelled due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. The seventh edition of the event once again returned to Albatross Golf Resort in Prague, Czech Republic, which has been the permanent home of the event. Tetak's participation in the Czech Masters marks his European Tour debut.
