ORLANDO - The UCF football team was selected to finish second in the American Athletic Conference preseason media poll, announced by the league Wednesday morning.
The Knights received two first-place votes and totaled 241 points, trailing only defending conference champion Cincinnati, which received 262 points and 22 first-place votes.
SMU (3rd; 188), Houston (4th; 181), and Memphis (5th; 168) rounded out the top five in the poll.
