ORLANDO – UCF men's golfers of past and present excelled on courses around the world over the weekend. From Connor Arrendell winning the Florida Open Championship to Teddy Tetak placing in the top 20 in a Challenge Tour event, below is a breakdown of how they, as well as other notable UCF alumni, fared over the weekend.

Tetak outshined many current professional golfers in the Eram Bank Open, part of the Challenge Tour, from July 15-18 in Ramsau, Austria. The rising senior finished tied for 11th place after posting a final 12-under 268 score.

Tetak's best day came on Saturday, where he turned in a 64(-6) round to climb the leaderboard. Tetak's final line at the event was 70-69-64-65=268(-12). He was playing in the event with three former UCF golfers in Manuel Elvira (2014-18), Ricardo Gouveia (2011-14) and Jusso Kahlos (2014-18).

El Vira also had a solid showing in the Eram Bank Open, finishing tied for 18th place with a 270(-10) score. After finishing the first round even with par, Elvira got better with each round, finishing with scores of 70-68-67-65=270(-10).

Also playing in the Eram Bank Open, Goeveia turned in a 71-67-66-71=275(-5) performance over the weekend, good for 43rd place, while Kahlos shot 68-70-72-71=281(+1), good for 65th place.

Meanwhile, in Fort Myers, Fla., at the 75th Florida Open Championship, former UCF Knight Connor Arendell (2009-2011) began Sunday in a tie for tenth place and four shots back of the leader. He ended the day by raising the trophy and taking home the $15,000 first-place check.

The Fort Myers native fired bogey-free, 9-under 63 on Sunday to capture the 75th Florida Open title. He secured the one-shot victory with a 15-under 200 for the championship.

"It feels great," Arendell said. "I had a great final round today. Everything was on. It was the lowest I could go today, I ma3de just about everything. It just felt good to come from behind like that and win."

"I had no clue where I stood," Arendell said. "I just tried to make as many as I could. I had no pressure; I just played the best I could and it all worked out."

This is the first FSGA championship win for Arendell, who is a Florida Junior Tour alum and winner. His 15-under 200 for the championship is the second lowest total score in Florida Open history.
