ORLANDO – Three Knights concluded play in the 2021 European Amateur Championship over the weekend as Clement Charmasson, Teddy Tetak and newcomer Markus Braadlie all participated in the tournament, taking place from June 23-26 at the Par 71, 6,957-yard Châteaux Course at golf du Médoc Resort in France.
Braadlie led all Knights with an 8-under 276 finish through four rounds of play. He opened play with two rounds in the 60's, including a 65-stroke round two where he birdied eight holes. Braadlie's final line for the tournament was 68-65-72-71=276(-8), good for 14th place.
"It was a pretty good week where my game felt solid," said Braadlie. "I'm very happy with how I played the first two rounds. That was a good experience and good for my confidence to be up there at a big event like that. The last couple of rounds I made a few too many mistakes and bogeys, but I take away a lot of positives from the week."
Charmasson also came out hot as he opened the first round even with par before turning in a 3-under 68 score in round two. The Toulouse, France native finished the weekend at two-over to sit tied for 55th place after turning in a final line of 71-68-72-75=286(+2).
Rounding things out, Tetak posted a 4-under 67 score in round three, but missed the cut and finished with a three-round line of 77-72-67=216(+3).
