Lamoureux Qualifies for 2021 U.S. Women’s Open

Orlando, Fla. – UCF women's golfer Alyssa Lamoureux punched her ticket to the 76th U.S. Women's Open at the Bradenton Country Club on Monday. The championship will be played June 3-6 at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, Califormia.

The Seminole, Fla. native carded a three-over performance over the two-day qualifying event, shooting 70 (-2) on the second day to finish third, one stroke ahead of her closest competitor.

Lamoureux's qualification marks the first time in program history that an active member of the UCF women's golf team has qualified for the U.S. Women's Open in program history.

Alyssa Lamoureux joins former UCF women's golfer Stephanie Connelly (2009), who qualified as an alumnus in 2015, as the only two Knights to qualify for the U.S. Women's Open. Lamoureux's qualification marks the first time in program history that an active member of the squad has qualified for the championship.
