ORLANDO, Fla. – After a remarkable season Gino Vivi and Yannik Oettl have been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Teams, with Vivi landing on the First Team and Oettl finding his name on the Second Team.
Vivi earns his first All-East Region nod after leading the Knights in points this season, scoring five goals and tallying a total of 14 points. He was a part of the American Athletic Conference's All-Rookie Team in 2019 before rising to the All-Conference First Team this season. Vivi was named to the conference's weekly honor roll twice this season and had scored four of UCF's last eight goals to round out the season.
Oettl earns a spot on an All-East Region squad for the third straight campaign. He checks in on the Second Team for the second straight season after turning in an incredible year on the stat sheet. He finishes the season with a miniscule goals allowed average of 0.80 as he tallied six shutouts in 12 matches. He totaled 56 saves with a save percentage of .848. He was in the top ten nationally in each stat category at some point throughout the season. Oettl was name the conference's Goalkeeper of the Year for the third straight campaign and also earned his third nod to the conference's First Team.
UCF and Tulsa each had two player named to an All-Region team, tied for the conference lead.
