ORLANDO – The UCF track and field team rounds out the month of April at the North Florida Invitational.
The Knights head to Jacksonville in a final tune-up before the American Athletic Conference Championship in May. The two-day meet begins Thursday afternoon with the discus. Track action starts at 7 p.m. with the 400-meter hurdles. A full meet schedule can be found here.
The Black and Gold are back in action after hosting the Knights Invite at the UCF Track Complex. A record-setting rookie campaign continued for Rayniah Jones as she set the UCF 100-meter hurdles school record with a winning time of 12.73. Jones, already the freshman record holder in the event, posted the third-fastest time in the nation with personal best mark.
In addition to Jones, the Knights also picked up two individual event titles. Adrienne Adams collected her second title in the discus while Asherah Collins picked up her first triple jump title. Overall, UCF posted 11 podium finish performances over the two-day home meet.
