UCF Travels to #7 East Carolina

ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF baseball team will hit the road for the third time in conference season for a four-game set against No. 7 East Carolina. The top-10 ranked Pirates (26-5, 8-0 AAC) haven't played a game since Apr. 11, but are riding a nine-game win streak. UCF (17-19, 7-5 AAC) is coming off of a 3-1 weekend against South Florida, clinching the season series over the Bulls – as well as the 2020-21 all-sports War On I-4 title for the Knights.
Standard in conference play this year, Friday will feature a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. with game two scheduled roughly 45 minutes after the conclusion of game one. First pitch on Saturday is slated for 4 p.m. and the series finale will come at 12 p.m. on Sunday.

  • The Knights trail, 14-37 in the all-time series against the Pirates. A win in Greenville would be the first since sweeping the Pirates in 2017.
  • Gephry Pena is currently riding a 35-game on-base streak, dating back to March 6, 2020
  • Pena is also ranked 9th nationally with 19 stolen bases. As a team the Knights have stolen 52 bases, ranking 10th in the nation.
  • Over the last 10 games, Josh Crouch has led UCF with five extra base hits - four home runs and a double to drive in a team-high 10 RBI.
