ORLANDO - The UCF track and field team returns to action this weekend, heading to Gainesville for the Tom Jones Memorial on the Percy Beard Track in James G. Pressly Stadium.
 
Friday events begin at 4 p.m. with the discus. Track action starts at 6 p.m. with the 1500-meter run.
 
Saturday starts off with the hammer throw at 10 a.m. The Knights move to the track at noon with the 100-meter hurdles. A full meet schedule can be found here. Half-mile Timing will provide live results for the weekend.
 
UCF heads north one weekend after competing in the southern part of the state. The Knights set a pair of freshmen records at the Miami Hurricane Alumni Invitational. For the third meet in a row, Rayniah Jones collected the 100-meter hurdles title while improving her freshman record mark to 13.11. She finished 0.5 seconds faster than second place and improved her personal best in the event by 0.24 seconds.
 
In her heptathlon debut, Holly Cassels turned in a record performance as she finished fourth overall with a rookie record 4,701 points.
 
The Knights also picked up event titles in the 4x1 relay and Kiara Lee claimed the triple jump crown. All four of UCF's 800-meter run competitors turned in personal best marks to earn top 10 finishes in the event.
