ORLANDO – The UCF rowing team heads to the west side for the two-day Sunshine State Invite, which begins Friday at Nathan Benderson Park.
The Knights race twice in Sarasota, beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday. UCF is joined by Clemson, Kansas State, Kansas, Miami, Jacksonville and Stetson. The Black and Gold close out the weekend on the water Saturday morning, beginning at 8 a.m.
UCF returns to action after a solid showing in Virginia last weekend. The Knights are just outside the Top 20 in the Pocock CRCA Poll presented by USRowing and are receiving votes for the second straight week.
The Varsity Eight was named the American Athletic Conference Boat of the Week on March 30 after close races against No. 9 Tennessee and No. 11 Duke and a 25-second victory over North Carolina.
Nathan Benderson Park also plays host to the 2021 NCAA Rowing Championship in May.
