Memphis, Tenn. – Facing its first ranked team of the season, the UCF women's soccer team fell 1-0 on the road to No. 18 ranked Memphis at the Memphis Soccer Complex Sunday afternoon.
The UCF defense stifled a potent Memphis offense for much of the game – taking a scoreless tie into halftime. By the end of the contest Memphis took 21 shots, compared to the Knights seven. The Tigers found what would be the game-winning-goal in the 57th minute of the contest when Memphis' Grace Stordy found a loose ball off of a corner kick to score the only goal of the match.
Kristen Scott led a UCF offense, taking two shots, with one shot on goal. The only other shot on goal from the Knights came from Dayana Martin, her only shot of the contest.
Notes
- Sunday's match was the first without a goal scored by the Knights since Oct. 27, 2019 at Cincinnati.
- Caroline DeLisle made a season-high nine saves after seeing career-high 21 shots (10 on goal) from the Memphis offense.
- UCF was out shot, with Memphis putting up a total
- In a physical contest, Memphis out fouled the Knights 14-9.

The Knights will return home to the UCF Soccer Complex to host East Carolina on March 14, kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
