Orlando, Fla. – The UCF baseball team fell to Jacksonville on Tuesday night, by a score of 11-6.
Ryan Saltonstall pitched a first inning where he faced the minimum after picking off a Dolphin. In the second Jacksonville opened the scoring on a single by Jackson Grabsky and went on to tack on three more runs in the following inning.
The Knights' first run came on a groundout by Pablo Ruiz with the bases loaded that plated Ben McCabe.
Gephry Peña extended his on base streak to 23 games when he reached on a walk in the seventh inning.
Tom Josten hit his third home run of the season, driving one off of the scoreboard in the eighth for his third home run of the year to make it a 10-3 ball game. The Knights added two more in the ninth on a Jordan Rathbone RBI triple, before tacking on a third cutting the deficit to 11-6.

Next Up
The UCF baseball team will hit the road, heading west to take on South Florida in a four-game series. Game one of the War on I-4 will take place on Thursday with a 6 p.m. first pitch on ESPN+. On Friday the two teams will play a double header that starts at 2 p.m. The series will wrap up on Saturday at 1 p.m.
