ORLANDO, Fla. – The No. 13 UCF men's tennis team will face its sixth straight team in the Oracle/ITA rankings and third straight in the top 25 as they host No. 14 Wake Forest on Wednesday at 3 p.m.

The Knights have faced eight straight opponents who have been ranked or received votes at the time of playing them. UCF has won four straight, trouncing then-No. 31 Arkansas in singles before sweeping #48 SMU and #24 Oklahoma on the road and prevailing over No. 18 Oklahoma State 4-2. The Black and Gold are winners of 10 of their last 11 matches. Gabriel Decamps and Kento Yamada enter the match on winning streaks, as Decamps has won 12 straight while Yamada is out to a perfect 11-0 start as a Knight.

Wake Forest is 32-5 on the road since the beginning of the 2016-17. UCF nearly handed the Demon Deacons a road loss in 2019 when they edged the Knights 4-3. This is the third season the Black and Gold have faced Wake Forest and will be the sixth all-time meeting between the two sides.

The Demon Deacons are having quite the run of their own, winning their last nine matches. Their last match was a 4-3 road victory over Georgia Tech, moving them to 8-1 in the ACC. Wake Forest's record looks impressive, going 21-4 in 2021. Henri Squire and Eduardo Nava are ranked in singles for the Demon Deacons, checking in at Nos. 13 and 53 respectively. Squire and Nava are ranked together in doubles, sitting as the nation's No. 13 tandem.
