Knights Post Top-Five Finish at The Hayt

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – The Knights finished the John Hayt Collegiate in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida on Monday with a 869(+5) score, good for fifth place overall.

The fifth-place finish marks UCF's highest of the season as the Knights finished 11th at the Timuquana Collegiate, T-16th at the Gator Invitational and T-11th at the General Hackler Championship.
 
At fifth place overall, the Knights placed higher than some of the top ranked teams in the country, including No. 3 Wake Forest (eighth) and No. 23 South Florida (ninth). UCF trailed only No. 14 Clemson (first), host school North Florida (second), No. 1 Florida State (third) and No. 15 Liberty (fourth).
 
Johnny Travale led the charge for the Knights, hitting an even 72 in round three to finish even at 216. Also finishing even in the tournament, Max O'Hagan shot three under on day two to bring his total down to 216 as well.
 
Egor Eroshenko continued on his solid freshman campaign, shooting 73(+1) in round three to bring his three-day total to 219(+3).
 
Rounding things out, Teddy Tetak and Clement Charmmasson finished the tournament at 224(+8) and 228(12), respectively.
 
Shooting individually, Guillermo Estivill shot 76(+4) on Monday to bring his total at The Hayt to 235(+19).
