MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Knights wrapped up play in the first round of the General Hackler Championship on Sunday, finishing the day tied for 14th place with a score of 293(+5).
In UCF's return to action for the first time in nearly a month, the Knights were led by freshman Egor Eroshenko, who was even on the day with a score of 72 after shooting for par on every hole on the front nine and evening out with two birdies and two bogies on the back nine.
Eroshenko was trailed closely by second-year Knights Johnny Travale and Teddy Tetak, as well as junior Clement Charmasson. Travale finished the day with a 73(+1) total while Charmasson and Tetak each shot 74(+2) on day one.
Paul Swindell finished round one with a score of 81(+9). Shooting individually, Juan Delgado had a very nice day one as he finished even with a 72 score.
The Knights will tee off in the second round of the General Hackler Championship on Monday at 9:30 a.m. UCF will start on hole 10. You can follow along live on Golfstat.com here.
