ORLANDO, Fla. – Looking to bounce back after a hard-fought battle with No. 18 Memphis, the UCF women's soccer team welcome East Carolina to the UCF Soccer Complex on Sunday, Mar. 14 for a 1 p.m. kickoff. UCF holds a 2-2 record through four games, while East Carolina is 1-3-1 after five matches.
Last time out, the Knights fell to No. 18 Memphis on the road. Caroline DeLisle faced 21 shots, 10 on goal and made a season-high nine saves. DeLisle was tabbed the American Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the week for her efforts.
The Black and Gold
- Caroline DeLisle faced a season-high 21 shots in her 90 minutes in goal vs. No. 18 Memphis. The redshirt sophomore made a season-high nine saves – just one shy of her career-high vs. USF on Oct. 31, 2019
- With DeLisle's AAC Goalkeeper of the Week honor, the Knights have been included in all four weekly awards of the 2021 campaign,
- Ranked second in assists and assists per game in the AAC, the Knights have six assists and average 1.5 assists per game.
- The Knights have also taken more shots (55-42) and earned more corner kicks (24-22)than the Pirates, despite plating one less game.
Pacing the Pirates
- Last time out, East Carolina fell 1-0 to No. 17 USF at home to move to 1-3-1 overall,
- The Knights hold the lead all-time against East Carolina, with a 12-3-2 record
- The last time the two teams met on the pitch, UCF traveled to Greenville, N.C. where the Knights picked up a 1-0 victory.
- East Carolina is still looking for their first road win in the 2021 campaign, entering the contest 0-2-1 as the visiting team.
