UCF Climbs to #16 in Latest Poll

Opens in a new window Oracle/ITA Team Rankings

ORLANDO, Fla. – After winning a pair of matches over the weekend, the UCF women's tennis team climbs to No. 16 in this week's release of the Oracle/ITA team rankings.

This is the highest the Knights have climbed this season, topping their season best of No. 18, the mark where they began the 2021 campaign and have spent the last three weeks.

The Black and Gold defeated then-No. 24 Furman on Saturday before sweeping FAU 7-0 on Sunday. UCF has three wins over ranked opponents this season after topping the Paladins on Saturday.

The Knights are looking to get back to their program best ranking of No. 12, a mark they accomplished early in the 2019 season. They have plenty of opportunities to keep climbing as they're scheduled to play eight more matches with four of those coming against opponents who are ranked or receiving votes.

UCF is the only team in the American Athletic Conference ranked inside the top 50. The next closest team is SMU who is receiving votes in this edition of the poll.
