ORLANDO – The UCF men's basketball team finally returns home after a four-game road trip to host Wichita State Wednesday at 7 p.m. with with coverage on ESPN+ and FM 96.9 The Game.
The Knights (5-9, 3-8) won just one out of four on the road, but it was the program's first victory in program history at Tulsa. UCF turned the ball over just nine times in the 65-58 victory on Feb. 10.
The Shockers (11-4, 7-2) have won both of their games since defeating the Knights back on Jan. 30, defeating Tulane and most recently Temple on Sunday.
UCF and Wichita State have square off six times since the Shockers joined The American and the Knights have yet to earn a victory in the series. The Shockers won 93-88 in overtime back on Jan. 30.

Snapping Streaks in Tulsa
- The Knights snapped a three-game losing streak when they defeated Tulsa 65-58 at the Reynolds Center on Feb. 6.
- It also snapped a losing streak at Tulsa that had lasted 11 games. In fact, UCF had never won at Tulsa prior to Feb. 6. In 12 all-time meetings in Tulsa, the Knights earned their first victory.
- The Knights, who had struggled with turnovers in the previous three games, turned the ball over just nine times, the third time this season UCF has had single-digit turnovers.
- Darius Perry led the way with 18 points, while Brandon Mahan had 15, with both played knocking down a trio of 3-pointers.
Turnovers Tell the Story
- When UCF started the season 3-1, the team had recorded two games with single digit turnovers and earned wins over Auburn, Florida State and Cincinnati.
- The Knights recorded single digit turnovers again on the Feb. 6 win over Tulsa to secure the team's third conference victory.
- In the Knights' previous three games, they turned the ball over 23 times, 28 times and 21 times, resulting in a three-game losing streak.
- UCF has had more turnovers than its opponent in eight out of 14 games, resulting in a 1-7 record during such games.
- When the Knights handle the ball, and subsequently turn it over less than their opponent, they hold a record of 4-2.
Perry Putting Up Points
- Senior grad transfer Darius Perry has been putting up points in his first season with the Knights, currently second on the team with 12.9 points per game.
- The former Louisville Cardinal led the Knights with a career-high 23 points and added six assists while shooting 3-of-6 from beyond the arc in the loss at South Florida on Jan. 2.
- UCF's most recent time out, Perry led the Knights with 18 points on 5 made 3-pointers in the win at Tulsa on Feb. 6.
- He has bee named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll one time this year.
- Perry is shooting 84.2 percent from the free throwl ine and 38.0 percent from 3-point range, while dishing out 28 assists.
