ORLANDO, Fla. – The No. 22 UCF women's tennis team is set to face No. 21 Florida for the second time in 11 days as the Knights will head to Gainesville for a 5 p.m. match with the Gators.

The second meeting between the two sides will wrap up an in-season home-and-home. The Black and Gold had only faced the Gators once prior to this season. The first meeting of these two teams in 2021 was a thriller as the match was even at 3-3 and came down to court six, an eerily similar scenario to the 2019 College MatchDay result. In both instances, the Knights won 4-3 in a tight three-set contest at the final singles spot. The 2021 version saw Jaleesa Leslie earn the win at No. 6 singles in three sets for her first collegiate victory.

UCF hasn't lost to Florida under head coach Bryan Koniecko, going 2-0 against Florida since his arrival. The Knights had never beaten the Gators prior to their 2019 College MatchDay victory.

Florida has only played one match since the teams last met as they fell to rival No. 8 FSU by a count of 4-1 back on Feb. 4. The Knights have played three other matches following the win over the Gators, all 7-0 sweeps, resulting in the team's longest point streak of 22.
