ORLANDO, Fla. – UCF forward Ellie Moreno was named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week after the Knights earned their second win of the season on Sunday. Mathilde Kack and Caroline DeLisle were also named to the league's weekly honor roll as the Black & Gold recorded their second shutout victory of the season.
Taking two shots in the match, Ellie Moreno's 85th minute game-winner assisted by Katie Bradley was the only goal of the contest, propelling the Knights to 2-0 in 2021. Moreno's goal was her fifth as a Knight and her first of the year.
Mathilde Kack controlled the Knights back-line to absorb the Bearcats attack, allowing just three shots in the game.
Starting a streak of clean sheets, Caroline DeLisle has opened the 2021 slate with back-to-back shutouts. DeLisle has accumulated 12 clean sheets to this point in her career.
