Oettl, Rosa Earn AAC Weekly Honors

ORLANDO, Fla. – After travelling to Temple and earning a 1-0 victory, the UCF men's soccer team has two student-athletes receiving American Athletic Conference weekly honors. Yannik Oettl was named The American's Goalkeeper of the Week while Anderson Rosa was named the Defensive Player of the Week.

Oettl was outstanding in team's victory on Saturday afternoon. He earned a pair of saves, including snuffing out one last push from the Owl's in the final five minutes. The clean sheet is the first of the season and was the 13th of Oettl's career. He climbs into a tie for sixth on UCF's all-time shutouts list with Sebastian Evers, who earned 13 from 2010-14.

Rosa earned an assist in Saturday's win, earning the first point of his young career. For the match's lone goal, Rosa started with the ball beyond the 18-yard box and proceeded to feed it Mauricio Villalobos Vega, who then made a quick move and dished the ball to Gino Vivi awaiting in the box. Rosa played all 90 minutes in the frigid tilt with Temple.

Vivi received a nod to the honor roll this week for his goal scored in the Temple match. He showed incredible patience in the box after receiving feeds from Rosa and Villalobos before punching home what wound up being the deciding factor.
