ORLANDO, Fla. – The No. 14 UCF men's soccer team is set for their first road match of the season as they'll face Temple at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The match was initially set to get underway at 7 p.m. but has been moved up due to inclement weather expected to be in the area. Saturday's forecast calls for a high of 28 degrees with a "feels like" temperature much lower than that.

The Knights will be seeking their first win of the season when they take the pitch Saturday afternoon. UCF surrendered a goal in the first ten minutes of the match in the season opener against Tulsa. Despite a flurry of chances in the second half, the Black and Gold were unable to find the equalizer and fell 1-0.

Temple was victorious over South Florida in their first match of the season in what was a back-and-forth affair. The Bulls struck first, scoring in the fifth minute. Temple answered back with goals in the 31st and 33rd minutes to take the lead. South Florida evened the match right out of halftime, scoring in the 49th minute. The Owls earned the match's winning goal in the 70th minute as Jalen Campbell netted his second of the evening. His performance earned him the nod as The American's Player of the Week.

UCF got the best of the Owls in both meetings in 2019. The Knights earned a 2-0 win over Temple on Sep. 27 before going on to beat them again by a score of 5-0 in The American's postseason tournament.

The Black and Gold look to break an interesting trend in this matchup. The road team has never come away with a victory in the two side's eight all-time matchups. The series began with two draws before alternating wins over their next five meetings. The Knights lead the series between the two programs by a count of 4-2-2.
