ORLANDO, Fla. – After winning five straight matches including two wins over No. 21 Florida, the UCF women's tennis team has jumped to No. 20 in the latest edition of the Oracle/ITA team rankings.
The new ranking of No. 20 is two spots higher than the previous version of the rankings released from the ITA.
UCF began the season at No. 18 in the Oracle/ITA rankings. After losing their first two matches against two top-25 teams, the rankings dropped the Knights to No. 22. Since that time, the Black and Gold are 5-0 with two wins over top-25 teams and over a team receiving votes.
The Knights set a new record for consecutive dual match points scored during their winning streak. UCF earned the first point of the streak with the final point scored against No. 21 Florida in their Jan. 29 meeting. The Black and Gold followed the victory over the Gators with three straight 7-0 sweeps, bringing the total to 22. UCF collected the first three points before surrendering one back to Florida, ending the streak at 25 consecutive points collected. The new mark shattered the old one of 19 set in 2019.

The Knights will face another in-state foe this weekend as they host Miami, who received votes in this weeks poll, on Saturday at noon. The Hurricanes come into the match with a record of 2-1 with wins over No. 23 Ole Miss and FAU.
