UCF Announces Cross Country, Indoor Track and Field Schedules

ORLANDO – UCF head coach Dana Boone has announced the 2021 cross country and indoor track and field schedules, which will begin with a home cross country meet on January 23.
 
The cross country team, which hosted intrasquad events during its normal fall competitive season, hosts the UCF Invite on Jan. 23. The Knights round out the cross country slate on Feb 6, heading to Wichita State for the 2021 American Athletic Conference Championship.
 
The UCF Invite is a 5K race that features the Knights, South Florida and FGCU. The Black and Gold won the 2019 edition of the UCF Invite and look to repeat on Saturday. Slated for an 11 a.m. start, the women's race will follow an 8K men's race between South Florida, FGCU and Jacksonville at 10 a.m.
 
Indoor track and field action begins Jan. 29 when the Knights head to Houston. The Black and Gold make a pair of trips to Houston for the H-Town Speed City meets, returning on Feb. 13. The NCAA Indoor Championship will take place March 12-13 in Fayetteville, Ark.
