Volleyball to Host Black and Gold Scrimmage

ORLANDO – Following the UCF volleyball team's postponement of its season opener against FAU, head coach Todd Dagenais and staff announced that they will implement an intrasquad Black and Gold scrimmage on Friday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m.

The Black and Gold scrimmage will be held at The Venue. It is open to the public for free on a first-come, first-served basis.

"The postponement of our season opener gives us the opportunity to get a couple more days of training in," said Dagenais. "One of the most important aspects of starting a season is actually learning how to adjust to game day. As a staff, we believe this gives us the opportunity to have a Black and Gold scrimmage where fans can not only come and get a glimpse of this year's team, but it also give us the feeling of a game day experience before we step out onto the floor against the Owls next week."

The Knights were originally scheduled for an exhibition with FAU on Friday, Jan. 22 before playing in their official season opener against the Owls on Saturday, Jan. 23. Those matches have since been postponed to Monday, Jan. 25 and Tuesday, Jan. 26, respectively. Both matches against FAU will be at 4 p.m.

PICKED TO WIN
