UCF Receiving Votes in USA Today Top 25

ORLANDO – For the first time in the 2020-21 season, the UCF women's basketball team received votes in the USA Today/WBCA Top 25 poll, released on Dec. 22.
 
UCF (4-1, 2-0 The American) earned votes in the coaches poll for the first time since Nov. 11, 2019.
 
The Knights opened the 2019-20 season receiving votes in the USA Today rankings. In 2018-29, UCF was among the teams receiving votes in 19 of the 20 USA Today rankings and earned votes for the first time in school history in the AP Top 25. The Knights also picked up votes in three consecutive polls during the 2017-18 campaign.
 
UCF ranks ninth nationally in scoring defense, limiting opponents to 51.2 points per game. The Knights also rank ninth nationally in three-point field goal percentage, shooting 42.5 percent from beyond the arc.
 
The Black and Gold are off to a 2-0 start in The American for the third time in the last four seasons. Following a 66-62 win over Tulane on Dec. 15, the Knights earned a 53-42 win at Tulsa on Dec. 19. Kiera Brown was named The American's Freshman of the Week on Dec. 21.
