ORLANDO – The Athletic released its Freshman All-American Team for the 2020 season on Tuesday and UCF redshirt freshman center Matthew Lee was among the honorees.
Lee becomes the 16th UCF player in program history to earn Freshman All-America honors, the third UCF offensive lineman to do so, and the first since teammate Cole Schneider earned the honors from USA Today in 2018.
In 2020, Lee has played in a started all nine regular season games at center, helping the Knights to a 6-3 record and a bid to the 2020 RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl.
Lee was named first-team all-conference in The American for his performance this season, helping the UCF offense to 585.6 yards of total offense per game, a stat that ranks second in the nation.
