ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF baseball team is ranked No. 32 in the 2021 Collegiate Baseball newspaper preseason poll released on Monday. Prior to the cancellation of the 2020 season, the Knights found themselves earning national recognition from six of the major collegiate baseball polls with a 15-3 record. The highest ranks came from D1Baseball.com, USA Today, Perfect Game and Collegiate Baseball Newspaper, with all four outlets placing the Knights at No. 12.
UCF has a 34-man roster that includes 10 new faces, as well as returning 12 position players with starting experience and nine pitchers who recorded innings a season ago.
The class of newest Knights features five pitchers, two outfielders, two infielders and a catcher. Bringing collegiate experience to John Euliano Park, two of the new class join the Knights as transfers, while 10 will take the field for the first time as freshman.
