ORLANDO – After helping the UCF women's basketball team to a 2-0 start in American Athletic Conference action, Kiera Brown was named the Freshman of the Week by the league on Monday.
The Riviera Beach native earned her first career start in the conference opener against Tulane on Dec. 15. Brown set career marks against the Green Wave with eight points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals. The redshirt guard shot 50 percent from the field.
