KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
UCF Athletics is actively working with University leadership, the American Athletic Conference, the NCAA and public health officials on a return to competition that prioritizes the health and well-being of all involved. These and other precautions undertaken are consistent with the guidance of Orange County and the state of Florida.

Fans are asked to do their part by conscientiously practicing physical distancing, frequently washing hands, using hand sanitizer, wearing face coverings and entering the assigned gate on their mobile ticket to ensure the healthiest possible environment at sporting events throughout the 2020-21 season. All fans should keep a safe distance between their party and other fans while inside and outside of Addition Financial Arena.

Those fans who are not feeling well or have been in close contact with someone they suspect may be infected should stay home and contact their doctor.

DEFENSE DOES IT
Defense has been a staple under head coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson, which has shown to start to the 2020-21 season. The Knights are limiting their opponents to 41.0 points per game, which puts UCF's scoring defense No. 1 in the country.

UCF also ranks fifth in field goal percentage defense (28.4), 16th in turnovers forced (23.5) and 35th in steals per game (11.0).

KNIGHT NOTES
The Knights enter the contest with a 2-0 record after a pair of double-digit nonconference Power 6 victories over Virginia and LSU.

A trio of Knights are averaging double figures, led by Courtajia Sanders' 15.5 points per game. Sanders tallied her first 20-point performance as a Knight and led all scorers with 22 points in the Dec. 4 win at LSU.

Diamond Battles pulled down a career-best 10 rebounds in Baton Rouge and is UCF's leading rebounder at 6.5 boards per game to go along with 13.0 points per contest. She's also averaging 5.5 assists per game for the Black and Gold.

Brittney Smith joins Sanders and Battles in double figures, averaging 10.0 points per game for UCF. Masseny Kaba, Destiny Thomas and Sanders each average 4.5 rebounds per game and Alisha Lewis joins Battles averaging 5.5 assists per contest.

SCOUTING FGCU
The Eagles bring a 3-2 record, and a two-game win streak, to Orlando. FGCU faces its second-straight American Athletic Conference opponent as the Eagles topped Temple 78-69 on Dec. 6. FGCU received a vote in the USA Today/WBCA Top 25 poll released on Dec. 8.

A trio of Eagles average double figures, led by Tishara Morehouse's 22.3 points per game. Kierstan Bell is averaging a double-double with 19 PPG and 15.5 rebounds per contest. Emma List adds 10.2 points per game and 5.0 assists per contest for FGCU.

The Eagles average 10.8 made three-point field goals per contest, which ranks 11th in the nation. FGCU has made 54 three-pointers on the season, which ranks fifth nationally.

Sunday marks the fifth meeting between UCF and FGCU, with the Eagles leading 4-1. FGCU won last season's matchup in Fort Myers, 72-50.
