Women’s Soccer Inks Three

ORLANDO, Fla. – Head Coach Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak has announced the UCF women's soccer 2020 signing class, signing three recruits to National Letters of Intent.
 
"We are thrilled to have Mia, Maria and Saga join our team! They are all extremely talented and bring their own special qualities to our group," said Roberts Sahaydak. "I expect they will make huge contributions to the success of our team when they arrive on campus! This is a very small class but it's also an extremely a special class. I'm so proud to call them Knights!"
 
Mia Asenjo
Forward / Midfield | Malverne, N.Y. (Montverde Academy)
Mia joins the Knights by way of Montverde Academy and competed at the club level with Florida Kraze Krush. The Malverne, N.Y. native was named to the 2019 ECNL All-America Team after leading her New York high school, Valley Stream South, to a New York State Class A Championship. She was also named the ECNL U15 Player of the Year in the Northeast Conference by Top Drawer Soccer. Most recently, Mia was selected to compete with the U20 Dominican Republic National Team to compete in the CONCACAF Women's U-20 championship. The Dominican Republican squad advanced to the semi-final round, with Asenjo scoring four goals along the way.
 


 
Maria Tregansin
Midfield | Winter Garden, Fla. (Montverde Academy)
Maria Tregansin also joins the Black and Gold by way of Montverde Academy. Maria was named to Top Drawer Soccer's All-Region (Florida-North) and Winter High School State Stars in back-to-back years to end her high school career.
 


 
Saga Jontoft
Center Back | Kristianstad, Sweden (Österänggymnasiet)
Saga Jontoft heads to Orlando's Hometown Team by way of Damallsvenskan, Sweden's top professional league, where she made her debut at the age of 16. Saga has also made 38 international appearances between the U17 and U19 Swedish national teams.
