ORLANDO – The UCF women's basketball team tips off the 2020-21 season one week from today, hosting Virginia at 6 p.m. in Addition Financial Arena.

For games played at Addition Financial Arena, there will be 25 percent capacity. Patrons will be required to wear masks at all times other than when actively eating or drinking in their own seats.
UCF has also solidified its non-conference slate, traveling to LSU for the SEC/American Athletic Conference Challenge on Dec. 4. The Knights return to Addition Financial Arena for a Dec. 13 matchup against FGCU. A Dec. 21 tilt at Georgia Tech rounds out UCF's non-conference slate. The Black and Gold's conference schedule will be announced at a later date.
The Black and Gold return four starters for the 2020-21 campaign in preseason all-conference first team selection Brittney Smith, Masseny Kaba, Courtajia Sanders and Diamond Battles. In all, UCF returns seven Knights that saw action last season.
Since taking over in 2016, UCF head coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson has led the Black and Gold to four consecutive 20-win campaigns. The Knights earned a first-round bye in four straight AAC tournaments and were the second seed at both the 2019 and 2020 tournaments. Coach ABE has guided the Knights to three postseason appearances and had her squad in the mix for a fourth before the cancellation of spring championships due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
