ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF women's golf team and head coach Emily Marron have announced the Spring 2021 schedule featuring five regular season tournaments, the American Athletic Conference Championship, and both the NCAA Regional and National Championship tournament upon qualification.
"I think it's safe to say we are all ready to get back out on the course and compete! Our team was starting to gain some good momentum last year when our season was canceled due to COVID, and we are excited to pick up where we left off," said Head Coach Emily Marron on finalizing the team's spring slate.
Marron continued, "We have a seasoned team who has played many of the courses we will see this spring, and our two freshmen bring in fresh energy! Our schedule will put us up against nationally competitive teams each event and we will be ready to take advantage of that opportunity."
The Knights will open the spring slate as the host of the annual UCF Challenge from Jan. 31. – Feb. 2 at their home course of Eagle Creek Golf Club.
UCF continues its season with back to back Sunshine State tournaments, with the Moon Golf Invitational in Melbourne, Fla. From Feb. 14-16; followed by the Lady Gator Invitational played at the Mark Bostick Golf Course in Gainesville, Fla. In the last three days of February.
The lone tournament in March comes in the form of the Briars Creek Invitational, a 54-hole tournament set to be played March 15-16 in Kiawah, S.C.
The Brickyard Invitational will be the final tournament, played April 5-6, before the Knights head to The American Championship in Pinehurst from April 18-20.
The NCAA Regional is scheduled for May 10-12 with the NCAA Championship slated to take place May 21-26 in Scottsdale, Az.
