ABOUT THE COUGARS
• Houston is in its second season under head coach Dana Holgerson, who had a record of 4-8 with the Cougars in 2019 and has a career mark of 67-50.
• This season, Houston has started 2-1, but has won both of its games in American Athletic Conference play, defeating Tulane and Navy.
• The Cougars are averaging 37.3 points per game, but allowing 31.7 points per game in 2020.
• Clayton Tune leads the passing attack with 315.0 yards per game, seven touchdowns and just two interceptions.
• Kyle Porter has rushed for 203 yards and two TDs.

• Sophomore quarterback Dillon Gabriel was one of the best freshmen in the nation in 2019, throwing for 3,653 yards, a UCF freshman record and the fourth most in school history.
• He has looked even better in the first five games of 2020, leading the nation with 19 touchdown passes, 435.6 passing yards per game and 461.0 yards of total offense per game.
• He has thrown at least one touchdown in every game of his career, with his streak of 18 consecutive games ranking as the fourth longest in program history.
• Gabriel set a new UCF record at ECU with 18 consecutive completions and a record at Memphis with 601 passing yards.
• The sophomore has thrown for 400 or more yards in four of five games in 2020, which is more than any other Knight has done in an entire career.
• Gabriel has not had an interception in his last 133 attempts.
• His 2,178 yards of passing through the first five games are the most in a five-game stretch in FBS since Pat Mahomes in 2016.
• He is also the third FBS quarterback in the last 15 years to have at least 400 yards passing, five touchdown passes and non interceptions in consecutive games (Jared Goff, 2015; Joe Burrow, 2019).

• The UCF defense made it difficult on offenses in 2019 with their ability to get pressure in the backfield, leading the nation with 9.0 tackles for loss per game.
• It was definitely a team effort, as not a single UCF player had enough tackles for loss to be ranked nationally.
• The Knights are just a bit under last year's pace this year, averaging 7.8 tackles for loss per game, which ranks 20th in the nation.
• In last week's win over Tulane, it looked familiar, as UCF had a season-high 11.0 tackles for loss and a season-best 5.0 sacks.
