Eason Wins Mimosa Challenge

ORLANDO – Former UCF Men's Golf standout Greg Eason captured first place at the Mimosa Challenge on Thursday, posting a 195(-15) total following three rounds of play.

The tournament, which is a part of the GProTour, began on Tuesday, October 13 and wrapped up on Thursday, October 15 at the Mimosa Golf and Country Club in Morganton, North Carolina. As the champion, Eason took home the $10,000 grand prize winnings.

Eason was steady throughout the week, finishing top six in each individual round to secure the victory with a final line of 64-65-66=195(-15) on the par 70 course.

Eason was a member of the Knights from 2010-2014. During that time, he accumulated seven individual wins, which remains the record for the most career victories in program history. Eason also still holds the program record for lowest single-season stroke average of 70.21.

The win marks Eason's second of 2020 as he also claimed victory at the Coke Dr. Pepper Open back in March.
