Shedden Named To ASUN All-Decade Team

ATLANTA – The ASUN Conference announced the Women's Cross Country 2000-09 All-Decade Team, and former UCF standout Sonja Shedden is among the 15 honorees.
 
Shedden, who competed for the Knights from 1998-2000, was a two-time ASUN Runner of the Year, capturing the individual title in 1999 and 2000. She was the only Knight to be named to the First Team All-Conference Team four times.
 
The Troy, Pa., native was a two-time all-region performer and advanced to the NCAA Championship in 2000.
 
To be named to the All-Decade Team, an individual must have competed for at least two years in the decade as an ASUN student-athlete. Exemptions made for individuals that reached NCAA Championship. Individuals that obtained one of the following criteria were named to the team: Runner of the Year or three First Team All-Conference selections. Individuals that obtained at least two of the following criteria were also named to the team: Freshman or Scholar-Athlete of the Year, three All-Conference selections or two First Team All-Conference selections.
