UCF Announces Home-And-Home With Michigan

ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF men's basketball team will play a home-and-home series with Michigan, starting with a trip to Ann Arbor in 2020. A return visit to Addition Financial Arena is scheduled for 2021.

The series marks the first meeting between UCF and Michigan on the hardwood.

Under the leadership of first-year coach Juwan Howard, the Wolverines went 19-12 last season.  Michigan started the season 7-0 and captured the Battle 4 Atlantis title.

The Wolverines return three of their top five scorers from a year ago, and boast the top recruiting class in the Big Ten.

With the return of Collin Smith and Darin Green Jr., the Knights are also primed for another promising season under head coach Johnny Dawkins. In addition to Sean Mobley, who sat out last season after transferring from VCU, UCF's impressive incoming class will help bolster the Knights' lineup. The Black and Gold newcomers include Oregon transfer C.J. Walker, Louisville transfer Darius Perry as well as freshmen Jamille Reynolds and Florida Mr. Basketball Isaiah Adams.

The Michigan contest is the first game announced for the 2020-21 season outside of the Hall of Fame Tip-off games. UCF plays a campus-round game as part of the tournament, hosting Quinnipiac on Nov. 18. The contest will be played at Addition Financial Arena.

The Knights will begin play at Mohegan Sun on Nov. 21, taking on Minnesota in the semifinals of the Naismith Bracket. The winner will take on the winner of Marquette and Rhode Island on Nov. 22, while the two losing teams will play in a consolation game on the same day.
