Tetak Places First at Slovak Amateur Championship

ORLANDO – UCF Men's Golf Sophomore Teddy Tetak placed first overall to win the Slovak Amateur Championship on Friday, June 19, shooting 287(-5) to win the tournament by five strokes.

A total of 53 players competed in the tournament at the Sedin Golf Resort in Velké Úlany, Slovakia as the event took place from Tuesday, June 16 – Friday, June 19. Tetak shot under par in three of four rounds, posting a 72-72-73-70 line for a 287(-5) total.

With Bence Kotel placing second in the tournament with a 292(E) total, Tetak won by a total of five strokes. Tetak saved the best for last as he shot his best round of at the tournament on the final day, shooting 70(-3) to clinch the first-place victory.

The 2019-20 season marked the first for Tetak as a Knight. After playing his freshman season at the University of South Carolina, Tetak transferred to UCF for his sophomore season and had an immediate impact on the team. Tetak played in six of the Knights' seven tournaments this season and posted an average score of 74.17, including a score of par or lower in four rounds on the year.

He will return in 2020-21 to serve a core role on a young and upcoming UCF Men's Golf team.
